A 9-day golf tour that explores the scenic golf courses and surrounds of Cape Town and Sun City
This 9-day golf tour explores some of Cape Town’s best known tourist attractions from the top of Table Mountain to the beautiful botanical gardens at Kirstenbosch and the infamous Robben Island. From here, the tour ventures up to Sun City where you can try your hand at the casino or play a multitude of sports. Your days will also be filled with plenty of golfing, as we have selected some of the country’s finest golf courses for you to experience first hand.
Day 1: Cape Town
You’ll be met at Cape Town International Airport by a Go2Africa representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Your chosen vehicle which will be your transport for the remainder of your stay in Cape Town, will be waiting for you on arrival. After settling in, the day is yours to explore the city and get used to driving on South African roads. Weather permitting, in the afternoon you can catch the cable car up Table Mountain for spectacular views of the city below.

Day 2: Steenberg, Cape Town
Spend your morning playing 18 holes on Steenberg Golf Course. This championship course within the historic setting of one of the Cape's oldest wine farms features a beautiful backdrop of mountains and vineyards. Why not combine your golfing with a little wine tasting? The afternoon can be spent on an excursion such as driving out to the Cape Point Nature Reserve – one of the most spectacular natural scenery spots in the world.

Day 3: Royal Cape, Cape Town
Your morning is spent enjoying a round of golf at the Royal Cape Golf Club. This golf course is the oldest in South Africa – it’s always well groomed and has mountain views from just about every hole. In the afternoon you can take time to visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, or to do a spot of shopping at the V&A Waterfront, which is also the departure point for the Robben Island ferry.

Day 4: Cape Town
After a scrumptious breakfast, you will be transfered to the Cape Town International Airport for the 2-hour flight to Sun City. The afternoon is at your leisure to discover the Lost City at your own pace.

Day 5: Gary Player Golf Course, Sun City
Sun City is internationally renowned as South Africa's premier holiday resort offering some of the best golf courses in South Africa. After breakfast, try your hand at the 18-hole Gary Player Golf Course - arguably the most famous course in South Africa. The course is tough and demanding, in fact some golfers claim that it is the toughest course in the Southern Hemisphere.

Day 6: Sun City
Today is free for you to explore Sun City at your leisure. As South Africa’s premier pleasure resort, you’ll have no trouble keeping busy. Try your hand at the casino, play a multitude of sports or go on an exciting game drive in the surrounding Pilanesberg National Park for some superb 'Big 5' viewing opportunities.

Day 7: Lost City Golf Course, Sun City
Start you day playing a round at the Lost City Golf Course. This club is situated just over the hill from the Gary Player Country Club and although both courses have similar characteristics, their layouts are different. The course was carved out of an undulating rocky terrain and has an African feel. Beware of retrieving any wayward balls from the water hazard at the 13th hole, as it is inhabited by 38 crocodiles, some of them nearly 2m long!

Day 8: Sun City
Today is another leisure day at Sun City. If you’ve tried all the activities on offer at Sun City (unlikely!), you can also explore the neighbouring resort of the Lost City, a fairytale palace residence. The interior of the Lost City features exquisite mosaics, frescoes and hand-painted ceilings depicting South Africa’s wildlife and culture. Hard to believe that this is all located in a remote part of South Africa.
