This 16-day golfing self-drive allows you to experience some of the Western Cape's finest golf courses
This golf tour starts in Cape Town, allowing you to play on some of our favourite golf courses. After 4 days of non-stop golf and peninsula entertainment, you'll start your drive up the Garden Route, playing golf in Stellenbosch, Hermanus, George, Knysna and Plett. We hope your clubs are in good shape, because you're about to embark on a good 2 weeks of golf interspersed with leisurely sightseeing to let you rest every now and then and take in all that Cape Town and the Garden Route have to offe
Day 1: Cape Town Arrive at Cape Town International Airport where a Go2Africa representative will transfer you to your luxury hotel near the V& A Waterfront. After settling in, enjoy a cable car trip up Table Mountain which affords some of the best views of the city bowl below.

Day 2: Royal Cape, Cape Town This morning's round of golf is at the Royal Cape Golf Course, one of Cape Town’s most established courses. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure - take the credit cards for a workout at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town’s shopping Mecca or hop on a catamaran to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years.

Day 3: Clovelly, Cape Town Take a drive out to Clovelly Country Club for a seaside round of golf. Afterwards, venture down to the Cape Point Nature Reserve which offers panoramic views of the ocean and is also home to some of the Cape’s finest flora and fauna.

Day 4: Spier, Stellenbosch Enjoy the scenic drive to Hermanus, home to the Southern Right Whale. En route stop at Spier wine estate for a round of golf on their championship course and possibly some wine tasting as well.

Day 5: Arabella, Whale Route This morning you will brave the Arabella Golf Course, one of South Africa’s most challenging and beautiful courses. The day will be completed with a visit to Hermanus where you can enjoy some fresh seafood.

Day 6: Fancourt, George After driving to George, the day is yours to relax and explore the area or simply enjoy the excellent facilities of the Fancourt Spa and hotel. The golfing continues tomorrow.

Days 7 - 9: Fancourt, George These 3 days are filled with all out golf, as you play the 3 world-class courses that Fancourt has to offer. Montagu and Outeniqua have parkland layouts, designed with the coastal George winds in mind. On the Links course, in the words of Gary Player you can 'play a "British Open" all of your own'.

Day 10: Fancourt, George A day off! We highly recommend you take a trip up to Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo, where you will experience genuine South Africa hospitality. Alternatively, take a short drive to Knysna, a vibrant and artistic town renowned for its oysters and mussels which can be enjoyed while taking in the breathtaking lagoon and sea views.

Day 11: Pezula, Knysna Today you’ll golf at Pezula Golf Course on the Sparrebosch Clifftop Estate in Knysna. Pezula golf course is spectacularly located on the east head of Knysna, overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Knysna lagoon and the Outeniqua Mountain range.

Day 12: Plettenberg Bay Spend today hiking and game viewing in the Tsitsikama Nature Reserve, known for its indigenous forest with giant Yellowoods and wild flowers or exploring the natural beauty of the Knysna/Plettenberg Bay area.

Day 13: Plettenberg Bay Spend the morning playing golf at either the George Country Club or Plettenberg Golf Club. The afternoon is yours to explore the beautiful section of coastline, famous for its white beaches.

Day 14 & 15: Kwandwe The last 2 days of your golf-safari is spent at leisure. Head over to the Kwandwe Game Reserve, a luxury game lodge on a historical site, where you can relive the experience of the 1820 Settlers. The Private Game Reserve stretches along the lush banks of the Great Fish River and the main lodge buildings and glass and thatch chalets that have been built along a steep cliff edge overlook the river. It is here that you will have the opportunity to view some of Africa’s large mammals that have been reintroduced into the area.
