Hermanus, at the heart of the whale route, is a seaside village built
along the shores of Walker Bay, near the southern most tip of Africa
where two of the world's greatest oceans come together.
Also home to the Southern Right Whale most commonly sighted in season
from June to November when they come to the coast to calve, Hermanus
is fast becoming one of South Africa's favourite coastal attractions.
Eco-tourists, nature and golf lovers all frequent the Whale Route
to enjoy it's natural setting and finest fresh fish.
Not only is it a fantastic golfing spot offering beautiful scenic
courses and surrounds, but whale watching, shark-cage diving and paragliding
are some of the activities offered to the intrepid golf
enthusiast. Otherwise there are plenty of craft markets to explore
in and around Hermanus.
