In the heart of the Paarl/Franschhoek winelands |
Description Boschenmeer, adjacent to a lake and bird sanctuary, is home to the Paarl golf course and boasts the only 27-hole golf course in the Cape. The extra nine holes that have been added on are designed by South African golfing legend David Frost. The fourth hole of the Boschenmeer Nine was recently voted the best in South Africa and it is believed that the extra nine holes add to the world-class beauty and playability.
Playing the Course
This is more of a 'grip-it-and-rip-it’'course with wide, generous fairways and a great challenge to any golfer. Sandwiched between the famous Paarl Rock and the Berg River this golf course allows one to play in a truly beautiful African setting and is typified by the long par-four 25th played from an elevated tee through an avenue of trees to an undulating green protected by a stream. Playing on the vast openness of a country estate in the scenic winelands is always a pleasure.
