Description Mount Edgecombe Country Club (CC) consists of two championship courses - Mount Edgecombe CC One and Mount Edgecombe CC Two. Both these courses have their own clubhouses with Mount Edgecombe CC Two overlooking the Pani Dam where, if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the resident fish eagles.
The Mount Edgecombe’s Course One, formerly the Hullets Country Club, was redesigned by Hugh Baiocchi and incorporates a residential estate in an ecologically maintained environment. This is one of the few courses in South Africa designed to USGA specifications.
Playing the Course
The signature holes of this parkland course are also known as Amen corner. They consist of the 14th to 16th and water hazards play a part in all three of them. Water guards the green on the par-five 14th followed by a dam that has to be carried to reach both the par-three 15th and par-four 16th.
Course Two has its fair share of water hazards and is fairly undulating but different from its sister course, Course One. This course is a lot wilder in terms of surrounding vegetation and wildlife, with an abundance of birdlife. The fairways are boarded with indigenous trees and shrubs.
