Phinda Vlei Lodge is situated below the Lebombo Mountain range, overlooking the Phinda Vlei (wetland). Situated in the northern section of the Phinda Game Reserve, the surrounding area is dense and sandy, making this area uniquely beautiful.
The lodge is stylishly decorated, with intimate and secluded suites offering privacy and comfort. You can enjoy spending some time alone as you enjoy the views from your room.
The main lodge is positioned to overlook the vlei, where herds of grazing game can frequently be spotted. You can kick back in the lounge or dining area, and watch the wildlife on your doorstep. At night time, these areas provide the perfect place to reflect on the day gone by, where you can keep warm by the fireside.
Experienced rangers will take you on game drives, and you can also go on guided nature walks. Birding is good in the area, so birdwatchers will not be disappointed. Community visits can also be arranged, where you will get the opportunity to get to know Zulu culture.
